Situated about 2.6 kms from Churchgate
Railway Station, this is one af the best Museums in India. The museum is named after the Prince of Wales (later King George) who laid the foundation stone of this building in 1905. The style and architecture are principally l6th century Muslim. lt is quite a big Museum having three main sections i.e. Art, Natural History and Archaeology and houses the finest collection of early Indian miniatures. It remains open between 10 am to 6 pm daily except Mondays. Entrance is free on Tuesdays. |
